Hello everyone. My Aerox all run good and I can get about 55mph flat out. Its all standard apart from a Leo Vince ZX Exhaust and 3.5gor 3g rollers cant remember ha . My problem is the acceleration from 0-15mph is terrible . It really struggles to pull off. I have tried it with 5.5g rollers but same problem. Around 15mph is when the power band kicks in so I think that's why its good from there. As I have said from 0-15mph it is a real issue and would really appreciate any help or advice ? , thanks

you need to replace the clutch springs. the stock ones will engage too soon for the powerband on the pipe.
its a very easy thing to do,

    adre nalin-pedstop.co.uk/p-Polini_165mm_clutch_spring_set_for_Minarelli_original_clutches-5305.aspx
    ^^remove space^^

they will fix the problem pedstop the cheaper as you just get what you need.

dont mess with the torque spring until you have the bike ok on the clutch

yes. torque spring's are a pain in the ass to get right. and on your set up i cant see you needing to change it. maybe a little softer but.... not worth doing

Depending on the 70kit it still may not be needed.

ok I fitter a polin vairior , red clutch spring and a new tourque spring which came with the polin kit. The acceleration is now great :) but it has lot all its top speed. It goes about 45mph max now when before I was getting 55mph . Could this be that the rollers are to light ? there 3g? but I have some 5.5 and 6g .

does it sound like its revving like crazy but not going toofast?

chances are the torque spring you where told not too fit is stopping the belt going all the way to the bottom of the pulley limiting its gearing

yea , reaches about 25mph then keeps revving high but no extra. I know I was told not to but it was in the kit so I thought I would just put it in anyway ha , what should I do know ? take it out ?

put the standard torque spring in and 5.5g rollers . much better but still not to quick. My friend has a totally standard Aerox and its much quicker off the start . Anyone know what else I could try ?

5.5g could be too heavy and 3g could be too light, that shit thing about scooter is nobody can tell you what you need for a perfect setup it about trying lots of different weights.

3g on a stock 50cc kit sounds too light to me.
and 5.5g stock weight??? sound too heavy for the exhaust.
the only real advice ppl can give other than put it on a dyno is.... is try mixing the roller 3x5.5g and 3x3g that would give you a ruff 4.25g roller, that would tell you if its the roller that are wrong.

what clutch springs did you get? link?, saying i now have red ones in means nothing to ppl that dont know what red ones you have.

did you re-jet the carb for the exhaust, and do you have a good seal on the manifold.

ahh ok will give that a try. I got some clutch springs with a few things of a friend . They were red and they also come with a blue set all new and un used . I think there were ones that came with a polin vaitior kit.

When I bought the bike it had a leo vince tt on it so I presumed it had been jetted but I haven't checked. ( im starting to think it haven't.

when you say the manifold , do you mean where the exhaust and the cylinder join ? if so yea just put a new gasket on

if the bike had been jetted to match a TT it would need to be jetted again for a different exhaust even if it was just a new TT no two exhause as the same even the same ones jet different..

yes i mean where the exhaust and the cylinder join, lots of ppl dont use gaskets as they think it makes it faster, that is wrong.

varitior kits dont come with clutch springs. if you cant tell me the brand can you tell me did it rev higher before it set off? and at what RPM's dose the clutch grap

aww ok , and yea I just put a new gasket on it as it was blowing before but it is all good now.

I had this kit of him http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/194/polini-variator-kit-high-speed-aerox-minarelli
but I am unsure if the clutch springs were with it or not but it does say on the site that springs come with it. As I said before I had a red and blue set . I used the red which were the toughest.

Yes after I put the new clutch spring in the reved higher before it set off.

I don't understand what you mean with the grap sorry ?

    thanks for the help btw:)

I don't understand what you mean with the grap sorry ? i ment to say grab as in when you rev at what rpm's dose the bike want to pull away.

and lol thats the first kit i have ever seen with clutch spring in and :( lot's of ppl have seen a loss in speed and acceleration with the cheap hi speed kit. it is polinis cheapest kit and it sadly live upto its price.

the normal polini kit is much better
