Best thing to do is to take it to a body shop and get it sprayed? Always going to be a better finish than you will be able to do.

This is what i did to respray a few bit n bobs on my NRG,

Sanded down using fine sandpaper to give a rough-ish finish (you are supposed to use wet n dry)

about 3 layers of primer because i had loads that needed using

left to dry for 24 hours

    light sanding

black coat (i only managed one coat cause i ran out of paint)

    left for another 24 hours

then about 3 layers of laquer. (laquer is sticky as fuck and got a few bits of dirt on it form the wind)

Costed me about 15 quid to go a few bits n bobs like the spoiler, grill and a couple of side pannel things.

Looks quite good for the small bits, but for the big pannels im gonna do the same thing, with more paint so i dnt run out and get a proper spray gun.

you could try doing the big pannels but i think any imperfections will show up on a larger pannel, Good Luck

Have a read through the guide, here:

Just don't rush it and don't try and spray it all in one, layer up the paint. Most of the work and the finish will be determined by how you prep the panels.
