well, following on from my other threads about my aerox being a cunt.... ive come to find out that the float bowl on the carb isnt filling up quick enough at high revs, like it will run fine upto about 45 then the bowl starts to run out, so i let off the throttle, it will fill slightly, i rev it up again, the bowl empties, the bike dies and rolls to a stop. then once i kick it over about 500000 times and the bowll full again, it runs perfectly fine. it also seems to get through fuel faster than my brothers 3.0 litre! ive come to the conclusion its definitely the carb because i put my old 12mm one back on and it goes flat out all day, the only reason im not using this carb is that it makes the bike feel shit and it has hardly any bottom end power. so my question; what could be causing the bowl to not be refilled quick enough? i thought it might of been the vacuum pipe, but it works fine on the other smaller carb oh and its only got this problem since putting a 70cc kit on the bike and riding it about 100yards before the bike got the problem
ok.... does anyone know how to adjust the float height on one of these things? everything else ive seen you just bend the little hook the fuel valve hooks onto, but this carb has like a one piece moulded float so theres nothing to bend?
you cant change them, prob have to change the whole float. had a similar one at work, only it was too much fuel. try cleaning the fuel lines and the carb (between where the fuel goes in and the needle)
