and whats the point..? get pics of up the r1 shock and the typh shock and we can see how they compare, can't imagine a superbike shock fitting on a scooter confortably and work as well as the typh shock...
shiny adapted one to fit a runner like dave said, no jackup or fuckall needed think lee had one on here for his drag typh
had one on his nrg and if i recall he and minor both said it didn't work well, think about it a r1 weighs depending on year weighs around 150kg (dry) a typh weighs probably less then 100kg, even with a softer spring it will likely be stiffer then a Viagra induced erection
theres springs for the r1 shocks to go on scoots as there used on lammys so all you need is a soft spring. or you could just buy malossi etc
no, you dont just need a soft spring. the dampening rate is WAY incorrect.... shiny has done 2, one for an ice (was too stiff, bike ended up sliding down the road) the other went on a typh (for lee) again, too hard even with a softer spring. think about it, the r1 is a CANTILEVER system, meaning for every inch of travel up and down on the wheel spindle the shock compresses only HALF that... meaning the r1 spring is twice as hard as it should be if the shock was bolted from the wheel spindle to the frame (like on a scoot) just no... buy a scooter shock not a pm one sorted
