im looking at getting a extreme cutout str8 gear casing for my aerox its the gearbox casing with cutouts alll over it allow better cooling .

the question is if i ride my bike and it rains does it matter if water gets in the casing ? and dust ? i normally dont ride in the rain u drive my car but yeh

could result in the belt slipping if water gets onto the pulleys, cant see why it would be a problem in the summer though mate. just keep the standard cover for when the weathers not so good ;)

but how is that possiable ...as you have the drive face and the pully protecting the belt from water and how can water get into the holes ...maybe a few drops but tht wont effect it at all

have you seen the str8 cut outs? more than just a few holes they have large slits on the underside etc water from the road will get into it no problem atall

no im pretty sure it would be ok as...the water would not be able to wet the pullys and drive face plus it will dry almost imeidatly if it does ..cos of the speed of the belt spinning plus the heat

suppose so, just wouldnt like to risk riding about with a slipping belt if the worst happens

im sure they would have to be safe or be able to be used all year or no one would buy them

they only way you will really find out for definite is to buy one and try it, were going to have some good and bad weather over the next few weeks so you could review it for others to see?

bit pricey by the time youve recieved it, as roxy boy stated it should be fine but im a bit funny about things like these, always expecting the worst ;)
