I just brought a new shape Gilera Runner SP 50cc, it had the lc disc brake engine in it and the crank bearing have gone, so now I have to install a new engine. I was wondering if a old shape engine would work with electrics in the new shape bike? Just trying to widen my search for a engine, also if any one has one for sale pm me

If the crank bairings have gone why don't you just replace them with new ones ? Cheaper than a new engine....

To answer your question. Yes, you can put an old shape engine in a new shape bike, but you will need to block the small hole behind the stator to keep the water out.

To be honest its to much hassle spiting the engine seeing as its only a 50 and you can usually pick these up cheap anyway.
