Hello lads I bought a few goodies this morning, I got a new shape runner sp50, it's derestricted increased jet size lighter rollers and a yasuni R exhaust at the mo, bike isn't totalling running smooth as there is a few problems with airflow (still using standard airbox) so I decided to sort that out by ordering a malossi e13 filter alongside a malossi 70 kit malossi reed valve polini super speed variator 9 roller weights, now I'm looking for experience here, anyone who has had this setup before and some info/suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers standard air
heres a sudgesgion... dont buy a load of parts and then plan on setting it up once youve banged the lot together. airflow is NOT the issue wiht the bike, it has a pipe, the rollers are almost certianly the wrong weight, going by the majority of second hand tunned bikes i see it probably has the wrong size rollers in... everybody who knows fuck all will always diagnose a transmission problem as jetting or airflow. banging a filter on it will only make things worse asw if you get it right at full throttle it will be nowhere near rich enough at part throttle and BANG. full on dead piston sitting at 30 in traffic LOL ether gewt it to a tunner for a build and setup, or read the guides untill they truely make sence... THEN play play play. the only other advice i would give is this, youve spent lots of money on bits. take your time setting them up and dont put yourself in a position where you have to use the bike when your not 100% with it. get the bits on as per instructions, if yoru stuck ask away. get yourself a benchmark setting (go in the middle of your possible settings, so needle in the middle, middle size jet that you have (assuming youve orderd a few packs for future use) and the rollers aroudn the middle weight you can attain from the rollers you have. ride the bike, change one thing, if it doesent make sence follow the guide, if the bike is doing the opposit to what it should when you made the ajustments the guide sudgests then you mis diagnosed the problem. general rule is, rich as fuck will run well wnough to set the transmission up roughly. then back to the carb, then tran's, then carb. then fuck about wiht the reeds/fine tune the clutch... all been said befor. most important thing is ask, second most important thing is do... yoiuve asked, now go do.. you will need to ask again
