Proton Coupe

    well this is my baby.
    a quick look at my first proton
    proton compact 1999, 1.5 12v 89bhp
    started out like this

    ran 0-60 at trax, managed 10.8 which i was more than pleased with.


    so my current sweetheart

    proton coupe 1998 1.8 16v DOHC 135bhp
    got it like this

    currently looks like this

    full evo 1 front end, evo 4 rear lip, sideskirts are imported from malaysia and the only set in the country currently on a car. wheels are standard momo arrows painted orange. boot has been despoilered.

    not bad, i had a G reg 1990 proton, not he quickest but the engine lasted over 200k miles.
    bullet proof, mitsubushi tech...:)
    wish mine looked as good as yours..:(

    Cheers gents. Yeah im on mcm. It seems to get ignored on there though
    the old protons are bullet proof. The only thing that went on the yellow one was the alternator. And had it 5 years

    well this week i have mostly been taking the car apart

    the heater matrix radiator has a large hole in it. and loe and behold its all behind the dash so ive taken to extreme weight saving

    its a bloody good job i know how to take the interior out with my eyes shut (7 years of working on protons)

    rally it !!! use that fold up seat uve got now, leave the dash out and bam, instant rally car ;) guaranteed to impress all the chavs ;)

    very tempted to jsut lob the seats in and make do, im going drag racing with it at the end of the month :)

    just put the drivers seat in :) that would be awesome to see done lol never seen it done on a proton

    my first experience of the proton coupe, was being driven in a track coupe, turbo. coilovers.cage. fully stripped. fast as fook.
    vowed to get one as soon as my insurance dropped some. was going to strip it, but managed to have a kid before i got the car :( so need the back seats

    me and my dad had to do the matrix on his old fto that was such a pain in the arse took all weekend

    you should take it all out again ! if u get pulled itd be a case of, "no mr officer I didn't take it all out to go faster im just doing some work and I badly need the car for work oh and I just happened to be going faster than the citroen saxo in the other lane" ;)

    lol ive had a few in a small sieciento that was yellow and I was on L`s too :D I just love there faces when you piss on em lol :) have you taken sound insulation etc out or is it still in ?
