done a few more bits to the sr getting it ready for the summer fitted new... quick action race throttle & throttle cable green fuel line fuel cut off switch ngk spark plug stage6 jets pedmoto air filter green gusset grips sticker bombed inserts engine clean up next stage handle bar conversion and exhaust i think
managed to pick up a exhaust off ebay. with abit of a clean up and a lick off paint looks spot on just need a new clip and rubber and badge. its a kundo exhaust with a pm tuning muffler end can not bad for £60 lol
Not wanting to pee on your bonfire but get rid of the Kundo, it's no better than std, a pm 52 would work much better!
Well seems to work better than the std and weighs under half of the weight. And has a pm end can so sounds better than a std kundo not tiny. Don't get me roung if I could afford a full pm I would but don't have a Spare £300 lol. For £60 it's lot better than the old ugerly std one
clip an badge sorted . stage6 stem and switch gear ordered n on the way. down hill conversion ready for the summer hopefully
how does it run with the airfilter fitted like it is? i tried using the original elbow from the original airfliter with the open filter on the end like you have but it bogged so bad it wouldnt move off the spot! as soon as i removed the tube and fitted the airfilter direct to the carb it ran spot on
Runs really well had to jet it up to 105 n move the needle down. And I put some silicon tape around the air filter befor putting it into the elbow to make sure it was air tight.
How much was the dyno session ? I've just got an sr 125 and hoping to put a panel filter in it, What' sort or clock speed is yours hitting ?
Nice bike man, keep us updated I allso have a sr project on the go will get a thread up soon just waiting to get my engine back today.
Dyno is about £60 for full set up I got it cheaper coz already set it up by hear so dint have to do much. About 65mph at the mo was doing more but got the Acceleration up much better hits 60 in no time now. I had a polini panel fitter be for my open filter n it done nothing really.
Cheers bashyy will get some new pics up soon nearly ready for my downhill conversion . Like to see some pics of yours let us know when ya got some up.
you say you have lost top end to gain bottom? it shouldnt be a compromise you should be able to reach the same acceleration power and gain the bikes maximum top speed by choosing the corect roller weights and clutch springs. my runner clocks go to 80 and even as stock the bike would pull to 70 -80. whilst i realise they over read yours should be able to produce the same speed being the same basic engine I have since fitted a 172 etc so its a lot better, but these engines as stock really do pull well. i took my 18st dad on the back and still got 60 on the clocks stock
Yea my rollers r fucked lol need replacing dunno what weight to go for tho. You have any idear what I should go for?
i dont know what stock are, 12.5 sounds light to me unless typhoons run diffrent weights to the runner. stock on a runner 125 is around 15gr and i have 13.7gr fitted which was spot on with a sports pipe, but i now have the stock exhaust and it seems to still pull nicely and not over rev
My old runner had 12.5 when i got the bike was standard with scorp pipe b4 i 172'd it, and my sr standard has 12.5s so mine might have been changed but my sr looked like the case had never been off lol ever bolt had to be drilled out.
