i think he is saying that the boi that owned the runner beforehand thats if you own it now, took bits off the bike and didnt no what they did./ I think hes saying the bike is dogy, so becareful My bad if im wrong
all im saying is dont expect it to be problem free as every week he would strip a working bike and then ask how things worked, often creating problems. just give the bike a good once over an check EVERY nut and bolt as theres nothing worse than somone who doesent know what there doing stripping anything that attains more than 30mph..
pmsl :w00t: yeh, im gonna be rebuilding the whole thing in summer... bort as a 'project' so thats what its gonna be lol
good good.. ont take it personally. i rebuild EVERY bike i buy as im paranoid.. im just warning you as some of the posts were pure stupidity
gotta agree minor, i don't rebuild everyone but if i don't know the history i strip all the plastics and check every little fixing, nut, bolt etc... after buying the area 51 with a bent (not buckeld) rear wheel, knackered shock, leaky petrol pipe, shattered plastics (cunningly peiced together and duct taped from the inside) and a glued on variator due to a sheared crank, i see it as a neccessaty. hence why i bought the RD in bits to sort out myself, that way i know whats gone into it and what the strengths and weaknesses are and also have the pleasure of knowing that it's in a better state than when i bought it.
yer no offense to you m8, u'll probly make it into a decent bike but theres no way it'll be problem free. the boy's a waste of space
