Ive kind of just got myself a free 2005 Piaggio NRG 50cc 2 stroke, picking it up tomorrow and this is going to be super low budget build, my aim is to get it running and to be reliable to take to college, it hasnt been run for 2 years since it was dropped by the owners friend at drinking party when it was took for a joyride lol but im not bothered abut what it looks like until its running and passed mot... As its liquid cooled on monday im going to attempt to start it e.g. charge battery, fresh fuel, flush coolant and rad, turn it over by kick start few times, then see if it runs wish me luck.....
might get these and custom mount them and put mesh in the original holes http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Pc-Oval...cycle_Parts&hash=item41543187b3#ht_4582wt_895
ugly motherfucking indicators lol btw to check if it is LC or AC check at the front panel where the black thingy is, if you see a rad behind there then its LC
i think its air cooled coz theres no cap like there is on this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Piaggio-N..._Motorcycles&hash=item256c8fbc1a#ht_500wt_949
Tune this instead of the yammy! much more potential. Just to clarify. if there's 30% visible treed on the tire it'll pass on a advisory. need a front mudguard yes.
this has alot of potential dude and for free you cant complain but you can tell it needs abit of work jonny i thought its 75% or is it different for bikes?
yeh needs a front mudguard and yes im not really tuning it coz its fast enough just getting it road worth and modernise it a bit e.g. hidden front indicators and led side lights in lights and behind grill cant get the spark plug out though drained oil and put some in to start it going to get battery terminals, de-ionised water for battery, wd40 and fuel in a minute to hope fully start it
oh and about the front tyre ill get one with a wheel on ebay but in no rush that will be the last thing to do tbh
