need help on what im doing need steps,i just ordered a gilera 125 engine come with a standered carb and exaust on to my piaggio typhoon 50 frame also would my nrg back wheel work
no the wheel wont fit... youve obviously bitten off more than you can chew. its a fairly simple conversion, but takes knowledge... knowledge i wouldent trust to somebody to attempt, especially when it concernes cutting engine mounts precisely, fitting breaks, wheel offsets, complete wiring overhauls and so on. if you need a list of parts needed id be happy to write one, but if you have to ask something like "ive just bought a runner 125 engine, how do i put it in my 50 typhoon" id sudgest enlisting a little help in person from somebody in the know... or plain paying somebody a few hours work to do the parts that can SERIOUSLY endanger your life if done incorrectly. how about sell the lot and just buy a 125 typh? you still ahev about 3 or 400 quids worth of stuff to even complete the build. weigh up the cost
its precise work... your basicly rebuilding an entire bike, the only things you keep are your forks, frame, fdront wheel and handlebars (if you find a typh 125 loom) need different bars and clocks if you can only get hold of a runner loom. but ye. its easy when you know how... nobody wants to sit here and step by step explain how to completly rebuild your typhoon for you tho. especially when it would take 4 times as long as me plain doing the work int the first place
ok, if your happy wiht your ability to strip and rebuild your bike you need the following a 125 loom, prefebly a typhoon loom as you can retain your original clocks/brakes/control's... if your engine is disk brake you will need a caliper/resivoir and brake line, a radiator and waterbottle (in all honesty, typh gillys are pure bodge and just cut up old shit, your better off bashing an ac 172 kit, fan and covers onto it) a 125 rear wheel (again, has to be a runner, if you have a drum engine you can use any wheel you like altho the nrg drum wont fit on a wc as they have a 200mm drum and the nrg is 108mm) 125 coil/cdi 125 battery all the associated electrical equiptment that may come wiht the loom (rectifier, relay's) the rest is prittymuch the same between the 2
but ye, you still need to cut the engine mount... wich makes them weak. try scorce a couple of them and keep your eye on it, they dont last long and the engine will begin to wobble within a year as i said, price up all the bits and weigh them in against the cost of buying a 125 typh
yeah is looking to cost me and only got 250 left i might just sell it and buy a 125 typhoon engine would i still have to cut the engine mount
ye, wc and ac engines are idnetical.. just a different cylinder fitted and a couple holes drilled in the 125 (well, i say drilled, machined,) i ment sell the engine, your bike and just buy a 125 typhoon complete.
another idiot, youll get your bike impounded and most likely killed. wait your time, til your mature enough to deal with a 125, the laws there for a reason.
i never said that did i? i simply meant, tune a fifty, and your more likely to get away with it. ride on a 125 and you probably wont for long, do you think police are stupid?
You road a 172 last year ? Are you mad. I'm dieing for the day you come on here and say you've got 6 points for invalid insurance. And you bike impounded and most likely crushed. As everyone else has said. Tune your 50 or wait! If you was riding last year it can't be that long till your 17.
Yep, Also even after you've passed your full bike/car test you can only get 6 points in two years or you have to do your test again if i'm right lol.
