problems yet again

    hi guys
    not been on here for a while ,been busy with my bike at last
    anyway our lads runner 125 vx 2005 4 stroke ........................................................
    he got home today moaning it was getting slower and slower ,and smoking like a good un
    so i went out for a quick look and :eek: there was thick black engine oil dripping out the airbox.
    tore it apart and the oil is coming up from the motor and through the carb [ that,ll explain the bellowing smoke then ],took the rocker cover off and checked the rockers,and valve clearances nowt amiss there
    so is it saying piston rings to you guys too ? or more deeper?

    i reckon its time to scrap the bag of shite

    any help guys would be very much appreciated

    thanks tv
    just put it all back together ,minus the panels
    new plug,air box cleaned out,and its turning over really fast,but wont fire up
    == no compression me thinks

    Rings maybe a holed piston if it's all very drastic.

    god how i hate scooters , too much plastic to remove everytime you need to do summut

    all back together now , gave it another couple of tries and no good AND theres oil coming out the airbox again

    anybody fancy a [ non running ] project ???

    1 word. ovetto. Some mods to the bucket under the seat and there are 4 little screws on the underbelly between you and total engine access.

    or my tomos, the engine is right there, no panels or anything! i do like working on neos's/noesess/neii? MBK got it right with them

    can't win 'em all. A nice water cooled mach G (it´s basically a water cooled neos) or a piaggio typhoon would be the ticket. a 125 two stroke typhoon would see off anything 4 stroke and be a doddle to work on too.

    yeah:(
    thats the thing 4 strokes are supposed to be more reliable ,but a pain with chains and valves etc when they do go wrong
    2 strokes blow up but far easier to work on

    i meant to say
    280 towards one of these
    i bought a stolen recovered ccm r30 644
    2002 ,usual bits missing,lights,clocks,etc
    but a cracking mint engine and mechanics
    had a quick blast on it and it rides spot on

    just waiting for parts
    but when its sorted il post some pics
