i have a peugeot speedfight 2 50cc. when im riding it hits 20mph dies a little then carrys on accerlerating to top speed. but as soon as i hit any hill it will either climb it nice or the engine will die but carry on riding just at a slower speed. could this be the clutch or rollers? any help would be lovely
this used to happen to my aerox, i could hit a hill flat out and i would just watch the speedo go right down to 15-20mph, used to piss me right off, i was running everything standard with a gianelli exhaust, i changed the exhaust to a pm360 and put in the rollers and clutch springs that came with that exhaust put and airfilter on and upjetted it and for some reason it solved the problem, so i was baffled to what the actual problem was, hope u get it sorted mate :thumbsup:
hav you got a sports exhaust? if so did this only start to happen efter the exhaust was fitted? if so, it could be that you need to change your rollers, as you should change rollers, slightly up-jet and chang your clutch springs when you switch to a sports exhaust, also check your variator for wear, these should only cause that problem if you have recently changed from a standard exhaust to a sports exhaust..
ive got a sports exhaust. but its only started happening. and i also got a airbox. and thats the same as my mates aerox
i got a 50 in there. i never upjetted or did the rollers. what size rollers and jet shall i get for it?
u shouldnt really need to upjet not if u have air box anyway, rollers mybe 7.5grams? do uno what u have curntly. wouldnt go mega light with your set up. mybe stiffer clutch springs to
im guna have a look at the weekend so let you no whats size the rollers are. apprently your ment to upjet it when u put a race exhaust on
