problems with my mates typhoon 125

    one day the bike just cut out on him, from then it wouldnt kick or electric start... when we kicked it, ther was a crunching sound coming from the engine case. so we took the tranny case off and the circular electric start teeth fingy (duno wot its called, but it sits at the bottom right of the variator) this came out of place. we put it back in place and the bike was working fine.

    a few days later the bike kept cutting out and seemed like its loosing power, now he can litterally ride the bike for about 10 metres and then it cuts out, (before it cuts out it feels like the back wheel/rear brake goes tight and then loosens again).

    we are quite baffled to what it could be.....could he need a new spark plug?

    check spark and fuel sounds like what happend with my fuel tap tbh check the comprssion too also would be a good idea to have a look around the transmition

    ok ill have a look at that...but why would the rear wheel/rear brake go tight and then loosen quickly before the bike cuts out?

    that sounds liek your belt is still holding on the clutch until it reaches low enough revs for the spring to push it back out :good:

    sounds like its seizing to me.
