well i have noticed that quite alot of like oil has been coming out of my carb so i took the air filter off today to have a look and it had aload if it inside the air box whilst it was off i sterted it up and there was a petrol mist spraying out of the carb so i assume it might have mixed with oil and is spraying into the filter
what is the problem is it worn reeds ?
    just running to rich ?
    any ideas
    cheers
    Andy

all 2 strokes do it to an extent, the mist is caused by the backwards force of air from when the reeds snap shut, however worn reeds will magnify this problem.

The reeds ned to be checked to see if they are fully closing. If the air filter is dirty or restrictive, it'll such the charge back out the inlet towards the filter
