I fitted a stage6 sport pro and a yasuni c16 yesterday and running a 64 jet and havent changed the rollers since my polini sport. When im riding.. if i accelerate quickly from 30mph and whip the thottle back all is well but if i accelerate slowly from 35mph (ish) it will struggle at 7500 revs then after a while of sticking at these revs it will suddenly shoot up to 10000+ revs and accelerate quickly.. why is this?
Its aliminum so i dont have to run it in for x miles.. its alot easier and i just took it easy for 50 odd miles and gave it the beans every now and then and realised this problem.
Lol i love your sarcasm as you know me from the other forum, cheers, i should have a polini variator come in the post tomorrow with 5.0 and 5.5 rollers.. will they be okay? Also dave, where have you gone
its ok i just nipped to the kitchen for another can, im back now  difficult to say an exact roller weight for your set up, as there are so many variables that effect it....such as contra spring strength, make of variator (different variators have steeper or shallower ramp angles) even rider weight can dictate your roller weight... im afraid its good old experimentation and testing sam, youll know when youve got the right set in
Yeh but from how ive described my problem is it that i need to go heavier or lighter rollers? And dont avoid the question lol, i meant where have you gone from uksr?
What about the jetting? wont he need a bigger jet?.. ive got the single ringed ally stage 6 kit and c16 and mine did that i took it to the scooter tuning shop and they said it needed up jetting.. when i got it back it was great
I originally upjetted slightly as i didnt have a big enough jet and today my 72 jet arrived (I know i should order a box) Before it had a 64 in and upjetted to a 72.. now it ran great for the first couple of minutes down the road then at full throttle it wquld bog down.. is this because the jet is too big?
ermm :/ it could be too big yeah although thinking about it it could be to small.. atm ive got size 100 or something in mine, the woman did it for me for a fiver . ask capri dave hes quite an expert on these things
I dont know much but im pretty sure 100+ is too high on a mild 70 setup when standard is 53 on an NRG so that would be +100% modifications.
if your using the original restricted inlet manifold and air box these will be heavily strangling your engine at full throttle sam, get these replaced pronto before you do anything else
Dave i own your previous manifold Bought it from kyle but its not in the best condition so ive got a derestricted std manifold from PM Tuning but it looks the same size as std so i dont think my std is restricted. Also, im buying a stage6 air filter from ricky but i dont want to put it on as i dont have jets for my 17.5 carb .. Can you help on my 21mm carb question as i have a box of jets for it.
so youve got my old inlet manifold and your buying my old stage 6 air filter off ricky...my bits and bobs get about dont they :yahoo:
Its blue, he said its brand new and boxed so i dont think its yours.. Help with my carb thread please
