as stated. name your barrel and ill port a bare case to match. got a couple i need rid off and im probably using them as traning for a new apprentice. good idea if your saving for a project and want a good start from scratch. always better to tune the spare engine and leave the stocker running nice stock. anyway. prices from 50 for a little go on the barrel (again 4 stages with obviouse price increase) up to 400 for a full on barrel/case port match and flow job built with whatever parts you wanna fork out for. dont ask dont get so why not enquire about what can be done without changing parts
Minor can you explain a bit more on porting the barreel cause i want more power and porting seems the obious way to go
whilst this is a for sale topic and therefore extremely off topic, a basic way of describing porting is the alteration/adjustment of the port timings, durations and size/shape. this means you can tune perfectly the amount of power you want from any given barrel, bottom end, mid range and top end can all be altered. oh, and minor is gooood at it get it done mate
How will i get the name of my barrel? I know im a noob Also could you list what gains each stage gives?
no stages, its an art not a science, although im sure some will argue that he just means what sort of barrel is it? standard 50? 70? on what motor?
oh right, not sure then perhaps he has set stages that he will port to for certain prices? as there is not specific stages in porting, you dont reach a certain point and hear a click as you reach the next stage or anything haha
Ok thanks swift imp: So yeah minor if you could please mate post roughly what gains will i be seeing with each of the 4 stages on a standard gilera runner 50 with a ZX if that helps :emb:
not speaking for minor at all but at a quick think you will need to send the whole motor off to him as he will want to match the cases and exhaust to the barrel, unless you do what the for sale topic is for and just get him to do a set of cases and you send him parts you want put into those cases i.e crank mains seals and barrel. just read that and it sounds complicated so basically.... minor is offering a service where you tell him your setup and he will do a set of cases to match it, as he needs to shift a couple of sets. this means that you'll have 2 sets of cases so u can have one stock and one tuned. although you can also send him all your shit and just get him to port it for you, however thats not what this ad is for...
basicly stage 1 would be a clean up of the ports and an exhaust match. stage 2 is slight exhaust port work. stage 3 is the same with opend transfer ports and slkight hight ajustment. stage 4 is all the above with width and hight changes for more power. obviously stage 4 means about a quarter of the ewngines life (the barrel atleast anyway)
