My aerox doesnt rev up like a normal 70 should. Basically its fast from 0-20 then it just sort of bogs. Its got new rollers (4.5g) laser xpro, polini 70 kit, upjetted 15% etc etc. Would it be a carb problem if so what shall i do (adjust idle etc)?

    help appreciated

my aerox is doing exactly the opposite to yours, slow off the start hits 20 and its off. mine is down to jetting i believe.

whereas yours should be down to idle mixture, just half a turn anti-clockwise should let more petrol in. just get the engine warm and have a fiddle with the idle mix.

sounds like heavy rollers to me and steve, yours is down to weak clutch springs.

what clutch springs would you recommend wobbly coz there are shit loads of different coloured ones? :wtf:

i had 4.5 gram rollers in mine and it was ok. thats why i advised mixture screw. each bike is different though :nerd:

your's is a really good motor though.

i would suggest 1 grade stiffer than you already have, and i can never remember which are stif and which aren't

i'll quote you that when i come to sell it lol

yeh im looking on tinternet and different brands have different colours for stiffness :wtf:

i believe i have yellow ones in on a standard clutch now. im going to try and find some at some bike shops in hull. either that or order some off internet. are you sure its not down to jetting because i am still running a 72 jet. got a 86 to put in though.

it won't help but a 2 stroke actually produces more power when running slightly lean, although it will melt pistons. i still think around an 82-84 should be right with that carb but i'll have to see how much better mine gets.

yeah well il get clutch springs sorted, ive put 3.5gram rollers in. ive been sorting the tickover and mixture screw etc. just having problem with the power cutting off when dropping the throttle. i have tried adjusting tickover to sort it out but has just caused too much tension on throttle cable.

should i worry about clutch springs, rollers, jetting etc, even though i have only done 380 miles running in of the engine.?

(hope this doesnt seem a thread highjack :emb: )

first off you DONT ajust tickover/idle sopeed with the cabkle ajuster.. you need 1,mm of free play in every part of the throttle cable assembely. you use the big screw on the side. if your bike is dying as you off the throttle its running too rich on the idle curcit. wind it out half a turn and retest

3.5 seems VERRY light for any setup on most bikes tbh.. need over 16bhp on a piggy to even think about going that low..
