popping tyre back on rim

    changing tyres but cant pump them up cos the tyre is not seated on rim? just pour a couple of spoonfuls of lighter fluid or petrol into the tyre while it is on the ground. then light it, and it just pops on.

    seen thsi on telly wen u get the jeeps in the artic so because the itres are so deflated they come off the rim and this is how they fix em but will this work for peds then

    wat i do if it hard is put the wheel back on the bike and ride up and down the road for a min and it should seat its self

    or use soap and an airline, the only reason for the lighter fluid is lack of a compressor or sufficant ground to use a jjack.
    rapidly inflated tiress can split, are put under lots of strain and it can cause deformation, not a good idea so do it the way tyre shops do, they have been doing it for 100 odd years
