had the ped out today, its not been run for a few weeks, so i didnt expect a comfy ride lol. but anyway, for a few miles it ran fine, no popping or backfiring and driving very well. then i stopped at the petrol station, filled up, then drove out, after reaching full throttle and about 40/45mph, it was popping a little bit, then gradually more and more. . it didn't lose much speed so its not that bad, just a jerky ride and sounds shit. can anyone shed any light before i tear it apart and check everything, just to find its catch 22 and obviously the last thing i check. btw, as some may know, one of the bits of the front variator fan pulley has broke, this may help you, as im stumped, it cant be a jet issue i dont think.

it sounds like a crank seal which the vario drive face could have done due to been unbalanced

It could just be something simple first of all replace spark plug clean carb out and check for air leaks in the manifold

I would go with Jonny on that one.

If ped was left aside for a while you should have changed the petrol that was in it before starting it :/ Purge the fuel line and clean the carb and that should be you done ;)
