Ffs. :msn1: Fitted the kit today, finally got my cast off (broken foot)..aaanyway. It came with 8.1 rollers and i was running 5.7,so thought fuck that way too heavy so stuck with the 5.7s. Noticed acel was rapid, much more vicious and responce was imroved and it seemed smoother, but it revs MUCH more highly than it did before, and hits 35-40mph in a shot, but thats all i get,the ice used to chuck me to 51-53mph clock speed. Wtf? :wtf:

    try heavier rollers :D

i find the polini variator uses slightly heavier rollers than the std variator...

    the ramp angles are different!!

    niceone,think i got some 6.5s laying about,worth a try? Thinking 8.1 would be a tad heavy? :wtf:

6.5's should be about right. If not try some 6.1's??

Unlikely as yours isnt perfectly setup either way. ;) ANYWAY. Chucked all 6.5s in there today, and i had about 46 on the clocks if i remember and acel was stil the same (GOOOD). I used to get about 50mph on the clocks with my old variator. :msn1: Does the belt need to bed in or what? Just spent out £65 to make my ped better and it isnt. :confused:arc: Im not exactly fussed as its onlya few mph,and it gets there quicker than before,but.. :wtf:

try mixing them with the 5.7's like minor said , it will give an average roller wheit of 6.1

Yeah but if 5.7 revved to high and made me do 30-40,and 6.5s have lowered the revs slightly and given me around 46,then why would 6.1 make it better? Would the 8.1s it came with be way too heavy?

they may have been heavy and not been able to build speed up quick enough.

    i would try mixing them

but like i said try the mix.

the 6.5 might have been to heavy to build up top speed quick enough.

worth a try only takes a few mins,

aint getting to fix sat here moaning :bird: :pimp:

What the fuck,my belt just snapped. Had to walk it about a mile and a bit home with a broken foot (well had cast off 2days),sore as fuck now. Why would this be? ffs..Side note i had 54 on the clocks on a straight piece of road where i would of only got 50 on standard variator today, reeey ;) Not happy tho..

probably why its been a pain to setup.. change and reset the weight

previous post i got the weights mix'd up aswell... should have been 6's with 8's on 3 and 3 but nvm. new belt and start again (was it a new belt you was running?)

ok, take a pic of ALL the bits youve put on the cariator.. i got a feelin theres sommin you have fitted in place of sommin else as these kits have a few diff back spacers. if youve killed a new belt chances are the front outer and clutch pulley arnt true (bending the belt) this will shred one in a verry short while

when i first fitted it,there wasnt enough room on the spindle to put the nut back on,if you get me. then i took it off,and noticed at the back a little 'washer' typed thing, near a tiny little belt (oil belt or whatever?),and then with the variao kit i had, there was a black one a little thinner,so i replaced it with the black one and it fitted together fine? thats all i did,had the variator off time and time again, cant think what else it could be..unless its that washer?

could well be.. did it come with 2 3mmish thick washers? try both of these and no spacer. just check the outer pulley on the front and back are level.. the belt should run in a completly straifght line.. if it doesent you need to play with the washers at the back.
