Polini speed bell on 172

I might be able to get an almost new Polini Evolution for a decent price. I have a standard clutch with aftermarket springs. They claim that these lighter clutch bells give better acceleration. Do they really make a difference? Are there likely to be any adverse effects such as more stress on the rest of the transmission?
