Just baught a used polini evo 3 cylinder for my zip. I'm changing from a sport pro so would I have to increase the jet? And would I have to go lighter/heavier on the rollers?

Yes you will have to up jet. Yes you will have to go lighter on the rollers.

I hope you are running premix as well and you may need an electric water pump.

as the kit makes FUCK ALL power below 9k... your transmission will be set via the rollers to opperate at a lower rpm than the evo wants to rev to..

as for buying a second hand kit, let alone an evo, new ring at least.. maybe a new piston.

evo's dont just bolt in and work as they should. they are high end kits, so you need to match the rest of the engine to the task. a stock crank wont like 13,000+ rpm much, as for exhausts, you will need something revvy as hell to make use of the kit as using a sports pipe on an evo wil give WORSE results than using an mhr rep for instance. its all about matching the opperating rpm of all the parts, making it strong enough to survive the rpm and finally geting the case to the same size as the evo. they match POORLY to stock cases and again, are a waste of time unless your doing it properly.

    good kits tho :)

yeah i understand all of this, it will be set up on a dyno anyway. iv got a new gasket set, piston and rings for it. i have a stronger crank in and yasuni c21 which is very high revving to match the kit. and also a 24mm carb.
its just a toy, so not that fussed about the reliability.

will go real well then. long gears are a must as you will just top stock gears and cain belts/rollers whotut one. but DEFFO the cases are the most important thing with these kits.
