Waste of time, money and effort. Even if its done well its still not gonna run as well or last very long. Much better off buying a better cylinder, polini corsa's are known to be fairly weak, powerful but dont last too long because its basiclly a polini sport 70 with harsher porting, kinda "souped up" version of the sport kit, being cast iron it runs hotter than an ali kit.

So Id reccomend something like the Malossi MHR Rep because this is basiclly a race kit, de-tuned so it lasts longer than you might expect! Also its made of ali so it'll run cooler.

IF you DO go for the honing...no you wont need another piston unless theres damage to it or the rings. All a hone does is to remove the glaze and any high spots from the bore. The increase in diameter of the bore is so minimal that the std rings will take up the slack. This is obviously depending on how many times its been done before

Buy a motoforce , great little cylinder good power last for ages and cheap
More power than an mhr rep

    Yes for real
They are a great cylinder and make decent power as well
I have fitted heaps of these now and the only issue i have had is when the needle roller exploded on one and went through destroying the piston
I put a new piston in it and kept on running it
I also raced a year on this cylinder before retiring it
