right basically i want a pipe for me 172s i origenaly wanted a 59 but herd a lot of bad things but as i like the looks of a 59 i was thinkin of getting a nk sprint just wanderin what pple think of the nk sprint
well never had both... from what i know... pms snap in a month :w00t: nk sprints are alot stronger but very rare to get hold of... pm offers more power tho i think....
pm yep thats all i hear about pms is they snap all the time i got offered a nk sprint basicaly brand new just wandering wether or not to get it
NK's never had any real dyno figures. No one actually knows how they compair against a PM59 or any other exhaust. They are definitely stronger though. They were sold at £170 so make sure it's cheaper than that.
[/img] i read upThe first initial test on the DYNO proved encouraging with a increase of 2 BHP straight away on the standard 180 with no setup or alterations.obviously more time setting up the NK Sprint would of proved even better still. and it said .... wot is the pm 3 bhp
Well for one i've never seen a dyno sheet of a PM59 on a standard 180 so there is nothing to compair it to. As far as i know there has been no independent tests done to compair both on any sort of tuned engine.
PSN did tests with the nk sprint and the pm59 on one of there mildly ported dragsters around the 24bhp mark with both pipes near enough the same results with the n.k giving 0.2bhp less overall and the same was done on a standard 125 motor with again the n.k down by only 0.2bhp over the pm59 so in all you could say its just as good performance wise as the pm59 and as for power there is a fella from drag.com called NIZ who is runing a 38bhp delerium big bang engine with a n.k sprint pipe which i have seen first hand in the shop at psn so for them to use on one of there big bang engines and reach the same figures again as the pm59 on most levels of testing i'd say the nk speaks for it self and does the job just as well as the pm59 and for a whole lot less (cost wise) When they was on sale new! And as for on a standard 180 a 2bhp gain was seen over the standard pipe bottom of page on link.. http://www.italjetdragster.com/cgi-bin/ ... 000727;p=2
PSN were paid by the person who was going to be selling the exhaust to dyno it. Meaning it's not an independent test. As for one on a big bang engine. To my knowledge it was built and dyno'd with a PM59 on it then he just fitted an NK to it. Unless you happed to see it in PSN with the NK on? I'm not saying it's a bad exhaust. Hell i was even going to buy one before he jacked the price up. arc: It's just there are no hard facts about it. Like i said as long as it's cheaper than £170 then go for it.
Yes i have seen 2 big bang engines with nk sprint pipes on one at 38.2bhp and one at 37.5bhp and as for being built with pm59's on them dont add up for the simple fact if it was built and setup with the pm59 then you go and put a nk sprint pipe would alter the whole setup so would be pointless and when you ask psn pm tuning or any other tuner to build you an engine of that power they will be setting and building the engine with the pipe your going to use cos it dont make sense building and seting up your engine with a pm59 for you to swap pipes the minute you get home and slap an nk on it because the engine was built and set up with the pipe thats on it! But all in all seems like a very good pipe and as for independent tests with tuners getting paid or not that realy dont matter as the dyno sheets dont lie and from whats been seen shows that its up to job which is the main thing.. And as for the big bang engine with the pm59 getting done that was more than likely the one that was in the last tag magazine that one was runing and setup with the pm59!
ive just bought a nk sprint pipe in mint condition with a pm tuning end can, havent fitted it yet but it seems very strong and well made. ill post a pic up later
the nk is much stronger it has the same sort of sound as the pm59 which is brill not sure on power though. who cares imp:
ive been on a ported 183cc runner with nk sprint pipe i cant help as ive never ridden a bike with the same spec with a pm59 :bird:
