Yes you can get the dent removed if you have a body shop good enough or willing to do it. Took me a while to find one that did.

They weld rods on and pull them out with a slide hammer as you can't get to the back of the dent. This will pull out the dent so it will remove any lost performance but it wont look like new.

You could chrome it even after it has been used if you can find somewhere that will do it. *James* off here had it done but i can never remember where he said he got it done. It did take ages as the had to soak it for weeks to get all the crap out.

Buuut when chroming they first polish the thing then chrome over the polishing and you will not be able to get a nice flat finish where the dent was... You may have a slight chance but you will remove so much material you could go through the metal.

I can't quite remember how much i got the dent pulled on my exhaust for but it was something cheap like £10-20.

i could get the dent out for ya no problem ,but i live in gloucestershire if you want to bring it here its a 10 min job bit far i think though.any welding shop can do it.as for chroming you got no chance if its used?you can fill it with caustic soda evil shit mind and leave it for a week then wash it out but the quailty of chroming will be crap :(

i dented the expansion chamber on my rm125, and my dads mate heated it up and blew hot air through whilst bunging one end. the dent smoothed out but as terro said it wasnt perfect, can this not be done? because it didn't leave any weld marks

The caustic soda instructions say to leave it in for 30 mins, isn't a week a bit too long??
