description certainly cathes the eye. would indeed be nice to see the port maps compared to one of a stock malossi barrel. seems a little overpriced too
port maps? easy... malossi 172 is the same as the cheap one, then the cheap one wiht a jacket and different head (same compression/map) then the signature wich is a pro street port (basicly what they do to a 172 kit if you give them some dogh) wiht a black waterjacket.... nobody seems to metion the fact you need to have a 59/buy a 59 if you want to run this kit.. oh and it needs a special stub you have to buy seperatly... oh and even then its a square exit to a round pipe. maybe even a different exhaust mount as if the stub area is movved the mount will need to move too.... basicly there fuckin you ether way they can, but ye, to those still wanting to buy one you go for it.. id like one to cut up sooner rather than later and the more idiots buying them the more there will be nocking about (fucked) you cant copy somthing and sell it for the same money unless the quality is substandard.. simple economics. malossi make there kits.. pm dont,. there outscorced, meaning there paying somone x for them... then making profit.. so there really woreth x, wich is less than a 172 kit... so just get a malossi kit, they desighned it, not just copied somone elses (as usual) but ye, feel free to spend more hard earnt money on more shit... i hear pauls ferarri is a couple years old now afterall...
One of the key features of the kit is having generous amounts of alloy material in the right areas for owners/ tuners wishing to push the HP limit upwards without suffering the usual problem of breaking through into water galleries and fresh air when porting to the extreme. this is a malossi 172 milled open to see the position of the studs and exhaust port you would need the help of a magician to gain anymore room here
Good pic and info there minnor n shiny :thumbsup: . Cant wait untill this so called "pm tuning 172 kit" gets ripped appart and examined, but i think pm tuning may have known that people will examine there kits and may have a supprize waitng ? hell knows, we will have to see ay :grin:
a supprise waiting? what, magic metal that appears from nowhere? the "extra metal" is around the sides of the transfer feed's wich is pointless as theres nothing on the engine for this to sit againt if you DO port it past that of a malossi kit... people REALLY do just hope theres somthing good about this hidin/waiting to be discoverd but there isnt, its a copy of a malossi kit, done badly, wiht some irelevent modifications (some worthwhile dont get me wrong) but its made cheaper than ther malossi kit by somone, then sold by pm for the same sort of dogh... so my money will stay with malossi as always.
pm do a prox piston now aswell well overpriced if u had the exact size of the piston ull find one elsewere for half the price . pm extortion tuning ...MALOSSI KITS ALL THE WAY......
