Please a Mechanic help with my Gilera

    Hello people Now as some of you may know my bike leaks water from the bottom of the side engine casing and i have now bought the water pump repair kit and i have no clue how to fit it.....

    So does anyone live in the North West London area and i will pay you....???? (very close to jamie's house)

    to be done correctly the engine needs splitting. can do it without but you cant be sure the seal is square in the hole.

    as said to be done PROPERLY cases will need to be split

    but to do it without, strip all transmission nd oil pump.

    remove water pump cog and belt then remove circlip, then access the pump on the other side and disconnect the the pump cog

    then youv got to pull out the pump shaft and bearings then pull out seal

    fit the new seal and then press in the new shaft and bearings

    finally refit the water pump cog from the other side, you wont be able to replace this because the cases ent been split

    if done this way its neer impossibl;e to get the seal to sit flush/true to the shaft and they never really l,ast long (piggy wqaterpumps are shit anyway) jus ditch it and go electric

    £120 standard charge for me to do a waterpump, thats if you provide the pump kit, a new set of mains and seals.

    its a good excuse to get a decent setup under you whilst your'e at it
