    Officially the Mk2 Teezer.
    New engine all together.

I was fed up with the low temperament of the old engine. It had been sat out in Gaz's back garden for a year in the rain before I got it. So even though I cleaned it all out etc. It was still a shitty old engine.

Last month, I bought myself another bottom end. Advertised as, A good, un-bodged 2RK bottom end.
When it arrived, It was exactly that. Very clean, evidence of a low mileage, well looked after engine.

I sent my barrel off for a re-bore. Currently up to 1mm oversize.
When I got it back, I de-studded the barrel, And lapped the head, and top of the barrel down using some 600 grit wet and dry, a glass table, and a bit of WD40.

The result was two perfectly flat faces, and a slight raise of engine compression.

Everything is more or less how it should be now. I'm running a full size, TZR125 radiator, front mounted. So cooling wont be an issue.

Also done away with the oil pump, I'm running it at 30:1 pre-mix.

The YPVS I have removed and sold. I'm running the Powervalve pinned fully open.

I've taken it for a few little rides up my street. It's extremely poke, and it's not even properly set up yet.
Still to be fitted is the bigger inlet manifold. Currently running a 26mm home made jobby. I've got the local blacksmith to make me up a 32mm version which I will have tomorrow.

Once it's running as best as I can get it. I'd like to get it set up properly depending on cost.

so jelous would love to build one of these but i can imagine it'd b a pain in the arse sourcing all the parts and i guess it'd be pretty costly to how much worth of kit you rekon you got on it now?

Well, a rough round up of all the main components:

    Mobster wheels/tyres/disks/sprocket : £500
    KTM SX65 Forks : £200
    Fastace BS35AR rear shock : £70
Billetware extended swinging arm : £150
Engine and ancillaries : £250 worth (I've built this up over time)
    Pro-Flex plastics and Nstyle Graphics : £100
    Custom made Big-One expansion chamber : £250
    Pro-Circuit KTM SX65 end can : £120
GSXR600 Rear sets and gear linkage : £100
    Talon Sprockets & IRIS chain : £60
    SDG cradle frame : £60

And that's before you start adding up all the hard ware, And my time/effort put into the bike.
I've got another £30 to fess up later when I go collect my new inlet manifold.

The bike is extremely simple now compared to it's previous road legal state.
It runs very little now. No oil pump, no battery, no Powervalve servo. It hasn't even got a kill switch at the moment. I'm waiting on a lanyard type killer.

It's an awesome bit of kit. Just cant wait for the track days at the end of the month.

Nope. Track bike only now. Got fed up with the police constantly pulling me. The short tank range (20 miles), And it's general peakiness. Made it too unpractical for the road.

It's a racing breed track bike now. And a fast one at that!

Fully pinned open powervalve. Makes it run more like a race bike.
The YPVS is only good for first gear, when pulling away in town anyway.

    Think of it this way.

You accelerate away from the traffic lights, 6500rpm, The valve opens.
You rev out to red line, Shift to second. You are still above 6500rpm, so the valve doesnt even move.

The only time it closes up again is when you slow down.

So on the track, it will never be getting used. The only time it will come in handy is on the grid. But a racing start, you have the revs well above 6500rpm anyway.

So I made myself £100 by selling the servo unit. :)
