Piston rings

    I know this may seem stupid but i could i tell if a piston ring had gone without looking? how would my scooter run?

    if it was completely gone it wouldnt run, there wouldnt be any compression.
    Borrow a compretion tester if you know anyone who has one or take it to a garage to get the compretion tested. If its low then the rings might want changing

    Running rough, bogging and loss of power are indications if you don't have a compression tester. I should know, I wore a single ring though the chrome in 600mi!

    havent had that experience mine have always gone from good compresion to awfull lol

    It would still run with no chrome on the ring, just not very well lol

    It still runs and has power ive got a feeling its the rollers because they where on ther way out when i last checked them and that was about 3 week ago so ill get some new ones and see how it runs, thanks everyone
