difficult to say from photos, but ive seen a lot worse than that, from what i can see... As nibbles suggested, throw some new rings at it at least
Yeah i'm gunna do, The piston rings can wear down without snappin causing loss of compression cant they? Just if this aint the problem with my scooter am shafted to know what it is lol! thanks x
r yes your rings can wear without snapping causing loss of compression.cant really tell from the photos but it looks worn not knackered.new rings would be good.you might as well as its in bits now anyway
If you can feel the scores with your fingernail, you need to go oversize.... If not, I would get someone who know how to, lightly hone it, and then put in new rings....you already got it apart, and rings don't cost much, either will honing it....
Might aswell bang a 70's on it. Or one of the sport 50 kits, I wouldnt bother mucking about with worn parts, its only a matter of time before the cylinder plating wears away, can see abit of wear in the photos already.
Barrel wasn't scored i was there today doing his rings but the spark is weak and very temperamental thats your problem cozi (Y)
now now vesta. hardly called for. as for the barrel, if you can feel the marks its damaged if not its usually fine. why not just use a better kit tho?
