I got a 55 late BWS nd iv put a doppler S3R exhaust and some 4 gram rollers on it. im getting like 53mph on a flat and down hill iv hit about 60mph. Every time i come to a steep hill it boggs down to like 20 mph and off the mark i pull full throttle but it doesnt kick in untill about 10 mph then it shoots off like a bulet. Anyone no whats wrong?
rollers and clutch springs, basically your transmission isn't setup properly. try some stiffer clutch springs and/or some lighter rollers sounds like clutch though tbh because its engaging too early, you want it so that as the power is delivered, your clutch engages and you pull off. order a set of clutch springs and some different rollers
^^^^same as...you want stiffer clutch springs so you pull off the line quicker and lighter rollers to help climb hills etc
If i put lighter rollers in will my top speed go down? Btw any1 fancy explaining to me how the springs work i have no idea:/
I think the explanation is that if you put stronger springs into your clutch, it makes the clutch engage later than it does with stock springs, therefore your bike will take off at a higher amount of revs, therefore better take off.
no your top speed wont go down...unless the rollers are too light!! the clutch is a centrifugal clutch...as the clutch spins at a certain speed centrifugal force over comes the springs and causes the clutch shoes to move outwards and grip the clutch bell...takeing up drive!! fit stiffer springs and the clutch has to spin faster before centrifugal force flings the shoes outwards...hence the engine will rev faster before takeing up drive
Okaii uh sorry but that made no sence to me haha how do i no what springs to buy or do they come in sets with diffrent strengths?
