Hammerite rust remover is good and doesn't affect paint like a lot of products. Hard wire brush will do the job though tbh

Yeah thats where I get it. £6 or so for 500ml which makes about 3-4 litres once you add water.

I use a brush personally but yeah rinse then medium grit should be fine. This particular stuff is a bit drippy so you have to remove, I believe they do a gel which is basically the same thing but not as drippy so you don't have to.

Put it on, leave it for a bit, brush/sand. Rust gone. If not then repeat..

Im not a fan of sandpaper as it takes away more of the material rather than wire brushes which just scratch the surface.

the wire brush will remove the soft rust but the sand paper will flatten the surface making it look tidyier...but removes more material as stated above.

Supposed to brush/sand first and then apply get as it converts the rush thats left to a black substance

yeah you sure can mate, make sure its on tight though when your doing it....

also with the sandpaper, i was doing it to get rid of tiny orange rust dots on my zorst... its worked a treat, left it faintly scratched but i dont think it matters...still shiny and looks better than rust :)
