So what we got for today? Another dressed up maggot - why am I being strangely drawn to this 650 ED???? I need help, fast! Little Kat Not seen one in this good a nick for a while I'll leave it over the weekend, see if we can get a good pick for Monday!
My last bike was a suzuki gt125/x4/rg125 cafe racer, that was a mental little 125, it got stolen when I moved
Dont be daft, the police have given me a reference number, thats the crime solved to them. I am offering a reward for the return of the bike or the name of who took it
OK for all you people stuck in the '80s (like me!) TURBO MAGGOT!!!!!! My neighbour had one of these when I had the RXS, thought it was such a big bike at the time! Hopefully I've not dropped in any or at least too many repeats from before!
So what we got today? Spot the Benleys! Cooooorrrrr why is it that CBX still mostly look good, VFs/VTs from the same time mostly look like toilets?
God, I remember guys trying to get their knees down on the corners, riding a Honda Express or a Camino at Moped Mayhem back in the day! Also, when there was the Suzi X5 and X7, the Yam RD 200 and 250, and the awesome Kwak KH250, why did some people ride Honda "Thoopadweemth"? They were always a squeaky, underpowered bag of poo as the 250 - the 400N was better but then Honda went well strange and did a 400 Automatic version.
250 Thoopadweemth, better known as 'The Pig' back in my mechanic days. Slow, heavy and almost unbelievably, now THE up and coming classic Honda. Can't figure it at all.
Probably survived at the back of the garage 'cos the owners gave up riding them! It's that sort of market, clean bikes that have mechanical faults or sheds that still run OK. It's weeding out the lookers that still run OK (or have easy to fix minor faults) that makes it fun! My current VT had a duff plug, made it refuse to start when warm, so owner got shot for not a lot of money. He didn't realise it's got two plugs in each head. Duff one was one of the 'hidden' ones lol.
OK Today's Pick Went to look at a VF 750 F today, in the ebay picture it looked quite clean, in reality, needs a complete restoration, so with enough to do in that department already it is, not the one for me! Did a test ride, first time I've been on a VF 750 F in twenty years, pulls like a train!
