ok people i have a 2003 piaggio zip air cooled which i bought and had a cheapo eBay 70 kit on and i didn't have much faith in it so i upgraded to a stage6 sport pro mkii and guess what the crank bearings went 3 weeks later so i bought stage6 Teflon crank bearings along with a motoforce evolution crank all brand new parts i never buy second hand so i proceeded to rebuild my engine using the hot and cold method for the bearings and crank and all went well i put my engine back in now i had some bad vibration coming through the foot board up the handle bars but this only happens when u rev it on its stand or doing really low speed if i go up to about 30mph it will smooth-end out and when its slowing down it comes back again so me thinking iv fucked up during my rebuild or done some thing wrong i bought a second engine which already had a motoforce evo crank fitted so i fitted the second engine using no parts off my old one and guess what the vibration is still there so far i have tryed a different front pulley a variator and belt clutch bell and clutch i never had this problem before the first engine was rebuilt could be down to the full circle crank or engine mounts or maybe the shocker any help would be very much appreciated

wheel bearing? maybe? you can check your mounts by giving the engine/bike a good wiggle when its on the stand, shouldnt move too much. could be a warped brake disk even.

Not all of us can get on here everyday, sometimes you have to be a little patient. We're like buses, none come for ages then they all arrive at once.

Thinking about it logically, it's unlikely both engines would cause the same vibration. If you didn't have this problem before taking the first engine out then most likely is you've damaged, missed out or incorrectly fitted an engine mounting component / suspension linkage. Double check your work against an accurate parts diagram.

You have my sympathy, I'm trying to track down drive train vibration on my typhoon, belt drive is new to me :(
    Good luck, H
