Just started to put togeather my piaggio zip project and the engine side is standard at the mo with the help of a stage 6 pro exhaust. ive just bought some polini jets to get the carb balanced with the exhaust and some 4.5 gram rollers to balance it out and hopefully get a better mid to top end as shes a bit flat up top. ive also ordered a set of mo's clutch springs to help with the setup.

once i manage to get the thing running sweet i will hopefully think about upgrading the barrel and main clutch and so on. but as im still learning and waiting for funds then they will take a back burner.

the plastics were painted in a celluose white and the red was airbrushed to blend into the white then stickers were added, (stage 6 of cause) and finished off with a clear coat to make it shine :)

the under carrage will be in red and the plastics round the handle bars are in white but had to use a plastic coat activator before primer and paint was used. some of the plastics still in progress.
the variator is my next job hopefully this weekend and with any luck the postie will be delivering some more bits to me shortly.
im learning at the mo and she's slowly getting there but will need a name for her ....?

    thanks all,

not sure on the wheels yet colour wise I was going to paint them white but then they get messy and did'nt want to over do it with the red so stuck at the mo unless anyone has any ideas... :beg:

just painted the panels which came out good in the end. couple of runs but managed to rub down again and re-paint took a while but worth it in the end.

have'nt thought of that yet till i get the bodywork sorted, which is pretty much done now. was thinking of a 70 kit and maybe a race clutch. but at the mo its all about the money and I aint got alot of it so will have to wait for a while.

well its almost over and the body work is done. spent all weekend in the garage, (how sad is that  ) still its all done and the only thing I had trouble with was the kickstart spring when i took it all apart to respray. god I wish I had'nt, but thanks to one of the posts on here which was a brilliant idea yet so simple I managed to get it back in.
anyway thought id post a few picks of the almost finished item.. :yahoo:

the dreaded side casing, looks good but i think il leave the kickstart in next time.

think i need a new seat, does antone know if its easy to recover.
