Ok so my friend tried to clean my air box and ripped the foam in half so I fitted a foam stage 6 filter but now the problem is it bogs down and doesn't pull away I'm guess this is to much air? And not anough fuel? Well it's a 17.5 delorto carb with a 64 main jet.... What should I do? And no fitting the air box back on is not a option :)

What size jet would you say? It's a 64 now and bogging down to the point that it cuts out

You should try cleaning the carb as well that could be the problem

Tried a 85 main jet and the scooter is more powerful at pulling away but still at full revs it bogs down what could this be

What should of been asked is it a Open air filter on a stage 6 insert filter ? if it's a insert no upjet should be needed. If it's a open filter more a 110.

It's a open air filter the exhaust is just a piaggio sports and all of you are telling me dif sizes 85 jet works best but only up to 3/4 revs at 4/4 revs the bike bogs and goes to cut out but back to 3/4 revs runs like a dream it's confusing :)

go full throttle till it cuts out and check your spark plug if its black your too rich and if its white colour its lean and if its brownyy colour its about right

So what size would you say go then? If 85 is to small like a 90? Before I had to change the air filter it ran fine on a 64 jet. It sounds like a huge jump 64 to 85?

no, not for an open air filter, and you will be getting too much air for your mixture, put a 98 in, see what thats like, if it still bogs, put a 106

If i was you i would buy a new foam for the airbox, your ped has not got a 70 kit so there is no point having a open airfilter as i will not run good and will just drink more fuel and make alot of noise, there will be little if any power difference with the filter (with the right jets) but you mpg will be way lower.... a pointless mod if all you need is the foam a malossi foam for the standard airbox is £6 with postage you will spend more money than that trying to find the right jet !

Buy jets from 100 - 110. its trial an error should be around 105 mark

It had a malossi filter in it with the 64 jet and I didn't want the open filter for power or sound I just like the look of them rather than a huge black box :)
