at first everything worked so i put the panels on i started the bike pulled off it stalled, tryed to restart it and tested variouse things and stator had gone ,

i replaced the stator all was good i ran the bike up and down the street say 7 times and everything was working ,i turned the bike off then later on i restarted it to find that the rear light bulbs had blown .

i replaced them aswell as the front light bulb wich had always been blown then all was well for another say 10 goes up and down the street

we went for a ride last night ,the bike ran out of petrol and stalled when we turned the ignition back on the the fuel light and oil light came on as usal (its running premix and we already knew it had no fuel) then turned off becuase we put petrol init .the indis and break lights worked (headlight and rear dont work until bikes started ) BUT the light that iluminates the clocks doesnt work

ANY IDEAS anyone because the bike is sold and is being taken away by my mate tonight hes aware of the situation but needs it for college tommorow again ANY ideas ?

    thanks

OH ALSO what fuse should be at the battery ? 7.5?

there is several reasons which bulbs can keep blowing, but my first suspicion would be the regulator spitting out too much voltage, throw a multi-meter across the battery at rest, and with the engine running at fast idle, then observe with some good blips of the throttle, and see if it falls within spec.

according to my book, two stroke zips run a 7.5 amp main fuse, and the four strokes 10 amp.
