Piaggio Zip Bearing problem.

    So i've got a ported sport,Stage 6 crank, skf race bairings etc. I've took it apart too swap over too my flowed cases, the bearings aint that old but they're blue ? I'm running 2 sizes too big on the jet and running 33:1 premix ratio. Any idea why it's done this ?

    did you replace the seals when you did the bearings?

    I didn't do them. But yes they came part with the skf bairings.

    Its were theyve got hot mate and if ur putting them in another casing you shouldnt re use the same seals or the bearings really.

    I'm not using them again mate, I just wonderd how they turned blue ?

    Its due to the heat cycle on the metal, it happens with exhaust as well, the bearings must have got very hot though!

    Thanks. But it's why it's happened I can't figure out, They were brand new last month ? 33:1 premix.... haha.
