Piaggio zip 70cc bogging down when reved???

I have a problem with my zip, it's got

70cc italkit bore kit
21mm dellorto race carb
polini variator kit
race cdi
open airfilter
5.5gr polini rollers
88 main jet iv tried 89 jet and 92 but

just bogs down after a lil bit of throttle

my scooter start fine and idles perfect, do i need to up jet or down jet

any ideas what the fucks up with it?

Have you checked the idle screw mate ? There is a guide in the guides section under carburettors if you need moro info.

 

Get rid of the airfilter, fit a standard airbox and start jetting from there.

 

it wont need upjetting with a carb that big on it, probably need down jetting mate.. or air/fuel mixture

 

Your jetting is way off, ditch the 21mm carb, your better off with a 17.5mm or 19mm.

 

There's nothing wrong with them but i'd rather run a 19mm

 

i'm up to 110 main jet, warm days it sets of fine but cuts out after 3 minutes,on colder days it starts up but bog down after half throttle, adrenalinpedstops think i have an air leak, so iv order a new head gasket set. see what happens when i fit them.

 

im no expert but this sounds like an air leak some where

 

once i have fitted the gasket, if it's not that were els can they be an air leak?

 

it was fine right up till i went out on a nice hot day up on moors having a nice ride then it cut out started back up after half hour, i eventually got it home after cutting out every 5 mins, ever since then i just can't get it to go perfect, i must of burnt my gaskets out.

 

Does it rev up on its own on idle?
