I've just put my 'ped in for it's mot and it's failed on a few things. My biggest problem is the headlight/rear light pulsing in time with the indicators, any ideas what this may be? i've found what seems to be the main earth (chassis rail under the right hand panel) cleaned it up but it's not made any difference at all.

Also the mot tester failed it on the rear brake being excessively grabby, however it doesn't snatch or anything like that, it just squeaks a bit, so i removed the wheel and cleaned out the drum and scrubbed the shoes, which really hasn't made any difference, is it new shoes time?

And last but not least does anyone have any tips on loosening up partially siezed calipers? i've freed it off but it's a right pain to get the pistons back in.

    cheers guys,

    Martin

Update: have found an earth at the front on the regulator/flasher unit cleaned this with no improvement.... So I ran an earth from there to the main earth.. Same result. Could it be the regulator itself or something else?

Is the battery charged? Do you have one fitted?

Yeah battery is fine, even used jump leads from the car to the ped to check it wasn't a low voltage problem but made no difference what so ever.

Could be the regulator then but not sure. If you need it to get through the mot quickly you could tape over your indicators and remove the switch? :mod:
