Would it be possible to fit a Gilera Runner rear wheel (130/70-12) onto a Piaggio Zip 125? Even if it takes a small amount of modification, is it possible?

    Thanks.

    To answer question, No.

Zip engine is drum 10". Runner 13" is disc.

To add to this, even if you did with a magic stick the front wheel is 10" so you would have odd wheels.

Is you rear wheel 13" as this person has asked nibbles?

    50 wheels are 12" right?
I know 13" is runner 125+ wheel and only on the disc versions.. Zip 125 has no caliper mount so cant take disc/hub/13" wheel...

It is hard IM SURE to change front wheel on zip, as they are very skinny and the space inbetween fork legs is very small, I cant see a runner, typhoon or any other wheel fitting in there too easily....

    Anything else?

Im not jumping down ur throat nibstar,

You posted in here reffering to the other thread,
this question doesnt have anything to do with the other thread (rare wheel) as he clearly states wheels size 13" and other thread is regarding a 12" wheel, so your statement above does not answer his question, neither does your previous thread.

Ive simply answered his question and given him some food for thought, RE the front wheel. If he said 12" I would have told him about the 50 wheels.

    ;)

Okay, so even with RS24 Malossi Rear Shock Absorber, and Malossi F32S Forks, it would not be possible to fit Gilera Runner wheels on a Zip 125, I know front wheel is very simple to do, it's just I've never seen the rear wheel changed to a larger size and wanted to know if it was possible.

Mate are you slightly mad (OP)

You say nothing about Malossi forks and shock in original post then randomly come out with it... if your able to talk about fitting the forks I dont see why you cant work out that a runner disk wheel wont fit a zip 125 engine :confused:arc: :p

Malossi forks on a zip125 :wtf: what a waste!
You need a 2stroke motor in there, then you can get a runner wheel on.

Because I know how to fit shit on bikes as I've done it before, but I don't know what each specific maxiscooter model has. I've only owned one Gilera Runner VX but I got rid of it real quick, didn't even check what it consisted of as it was sold as a non-runner, which I quickly got running again and made a few hundred pounds off it. I still cannot understand the reason why everyone hates Zips... yes, as stock they are the slowest crappiest piece of shit a scooter company could make, but once modified, they are one of the nippiest scooters around. I am also asking this question as I wanted to know if I could modify my Zip in any way to accomodate the new larger rear wheel, yet as you state, it is not possible.

I did not say it would did I, I merely stated that I was installing it, not that it would have an affect on the rear wheel lmao...

Maybe I should rephrase my question... instead of a Gilera Runner wheel in particular, is there any way I can fit a 130/70-12 wheel onto my Zip?

Thanks for that nibbles, The only real reason I want that size rear wheel in particular is because I want Innova Meteor coloured tyres and they only come in that size, I do not care of their performance but merely for their looks, so that when I do end up selling my scooter, some sucker will love the showroom condition of my bike and pay a shitload if I'm lucky :)

However, would it be possible to have the same size wheels front and rear? 12 inch Gilera Runner wheels I mean.
