piaggio zip 11 plate not starting

    Hi guys my piaggio zip has a 50s bore on it and cut out when i was riding it. Im not sure if i was low on petrol or what but the carberettor may of collected alot of dirt. It is not starting. It is trying to start but just dosent quite start. Maybe its my spark plug, however im not sure and i dont no what to do. what should i do if its the spark plug how do i get to the spark plug. thanks

    You can remove the bottom pannel under you seat with a few skrews you will then be able to see the spark plug, Remove it and replace it with a br9es. then try and start it again.

    remove the panel. Take out the spark plug, make sure the gaps set right and end clean, put it into the plug lead and then rest the plug against the cylinder head so you can see the end of the plug. Turn the engine over and see if theres a spark from the plug (keep well away from the engine/plug/lead when doing it as theres a few thousand volts coming from the coil) There should be a bright positive looking spark. If not then time to replace

    can i not get an NGK spark plug ?

    you could get any make spark plug. Each manufacturer will have their own version specifically for your bike

    NGK is a popular choice tho' and is readily available from all local bike shops
