piaggio vespa ET4 125 1996

Engine races (Idle Speed?) when I start My Scooter ,I have to hold the Brakes in until a normal turn over is reached . Any suggestions?

 

Auto choke makes them tick over fast until it turns itself off, 4-5 mins.

 

Hi Marsh, Thank You for Your reply, I have had this Scooter since 2003 ,it has been on and off the Road quite a few Times but when I was using It It never did this ,only since I have started to restore It,the Mechanic says He has fitted a New Choke ,thank You Vivien.
