Basically I've got a Piaggio Typhoon 50, a mate just fixed up the throttle cable and it idles fine when no revs are applied. When I start the bike in a cold morning, it starts first time (kick start as there's no electric start).. When I ride and come to a hault the bike will not idle, the engine will just shut off.. Anyone know what the problem may be?

Another thing, I have got a sports Stage 6 Air Filter on the carb which is very big, it's like two long airfilters in one, could the bike be getting too much air?

    Do I need to upjet?

And I beleive the oil level to be quite low.. Thanks

There is no point putting a filter on a carb unless it is a significantly larger size. You will need to up jet but it will make it very hard to set up and you will have heavily increased fuel consumption. You need to go back to the air box.

Alright thanks alot mate, you sound spot on because my petrol kept on running out today, I'm going to get held of the air box filter before I take it back out

Cool, don't ride any further as you may seize the engine.
