hi bought a 96 typh 125 bout 3 months ago had the frame rewelded by the silent block,put a new stock bore a piston to get engine running complete kickstart overhaul and repainted all the plastics it has a scorp exaust and a silly round airfilter on it bought a stock one from a old gillera runner because at the moment the engine is way to loud everytime i start the bike i feel like i should be wearing a asbo braclet will the stock air filter make it alot quieter or will it still be very loud due to the scorp exaust? plus it seems to be ticking over quite high any advice or suggestion welcome
Yes mate the airbox should be alot quieter than the filter, and have a play with the idle screw on the carb while its running until it sounds right, be careful tho only small turns at a time
ok thought id take the bike for test ride today but before i did it i piut stock airbox on still to loud though then i noticed exaust wasnt on prperly bike was still loud though after tightening it so took it out was getting alot of stares fomr people lol finally got to a freinds house after 15 mins took helmet off then relissedmhow loud the bike was idleing how do i turn idle speed down running way to rich i think (it was going like a rat up a drain pipe though)
