i have done itrodruction but thought that i would post here aswel lol

basically im on the look out for an nrg mc3 or typh in devon area (not as easy as i thought :( )

the plan once i have one is the following

first thing first would be de-restriction lol

    then:

    malossi MHR pipe

    POLINI Super Speed variator Kit

    malossi delta clutch

    malossi delta MHR clutch springs

    malossi wingbell

    malossi torque drive pulley (Ø=134mm)

    malossi kevla v-belt (816x18.5mm)

MALOSSI MHR 19mm carb kit (cs=23mm) with filter

thats about it on the tuning side

with those parts added i hope it will be quick but not sure

i'm a bit stuck when it comes to getting a de-restricted in take manifold as to what size i would need for the carb which will be this one

    https://www.scooter-center.com/scow...2=CAT:CAT_VERGASER:CAT_VERGASER_ANSAUGSTUTZEN

and what reed valves to get

not really intent on getting a 70 kit as a few people i knew theirs blew up and there isnt many moped shops where i live to take it to so will be doin the majority of the jobs myself with hopefully help and guidance from you guy

    opinions and guidence needed :beg:

    cheers

I reckon he might be able to do it, that would be his limit though. I don't intent to fit 70 kits on my bikes but thats personal choice and im not too bothered by the gain. I think getting the most out of a 50cc is what it's all about. I think kits are a bit of a cheat ;]

every week theres somone on here just like you... fact is the STOCK 50 kits are made VERRY poorly.. you could spend 5 bills on your bike, keeping it as a 50 and id piss on you with one part fitted... a decent 70 kit. plus,. the stock kits are NOT made to rev... there made to make power really low and not much oif it. once you start pushing these bikes into higher rpm powerbands (wiht pipes variators clutches and carbs) your basicly making an engine make power at a higher rpm, an rpm the kits are not timed for, this = a verry short life and stupid ammounts of heat. basicly by "not wanting to get a 70 kit" your shooting hyourself in the foot. tunning STARTS wiht correcting all the power killing, fuel efficent, catalized nonsence from an enginer.. the cylinder on these bikes ARE restrictive compaird to the rest of the engine, hence 70 kits are VERRY common

its JUST as illegal to tune a bike at 16 without a 70 kit as it is with.

I wouldnt even start dreaming about tuning a bike untill I atleast own it! chances are you wont end up buying an nrg might end up being something else.. So all those plans are out the window lol.

And by the sounds of it your new to this, so how can you make all these plans if you dont know how to fit all the parts??

And finally, 70 kits DONT blow up. Only when incorrectly fitted, and incorrectly setup.. You cant just go banging kits on engines then ride off, they need ALOT of setting up to get right.

I had over 10,000miles out of my polini iron 70kit. Would still work now if I re-fitted it and sure id get another 5k miles out of it with some fresh rings. But yea most 70 kitted engines dont last that long due to bad setup.

yea i see what you saying now and i think i am gunna go for a 70 kit MHR

and yea i am kinda new i had a nrg back in the day when i was 16 and just had a zx pipe and malossi airfilter on it and a set of 5.5 malossi rollers

so when i get another ped shortly i want to tune it properly but didnt know if you could fit the parts i listed and gain power :confused:cratch:

and the reason im making a list is to plan ahead as to which parts are the best and what things are not worth the bother hence why im asking to see what people recomend and where to start ect

the 125 tunning guide is worth a read even if your building a 70..

only things that make power are cylinder's, carbs, pipes, cranks (to a point) porting and to a degree timing (altho this is preset unless you use a programable ignition) the rest is just fine tunning/making the most OF the power you have.

power comes from an engine, not a gearbox.. anything past the crank output is JUST using the power produced by the crank. not actually making any.
