hi everyone, new here! I've just bought my son a piaggio nrg dt hi per2. it's a 2006 and has less than 600 miles from new! we went for a ride yesterday and he was struggling up hills. was hitting 40 on the flats no problem. the only thing I've done to it is change the auto choke as this wasn't really working. now when it starts, its building revs very high, maybe it's the wrong auto choke? I went for a ride on it to see if there was anything noticeable as to why it was slow up hills and it seems to bog at full throttle if you feather the throttle it's pretty good. are there any easy things to check?

It could be the rollers are too heavy as a starting point.
BUT, a 2006 model with that few miles on it, shouldn't be a problem apart from parts sticking due to lack of use.
Wouldn't be surprised if it's still restricted (ring in the variator)

Make sure it has the correct choke unit, it should be a dellorto carb ? Variator spacer, exhaust branch and carb restrictor plate, std jet possibly 53/56, upjet to 58/60 ?
