Hey there, basically I'm no newbie to all this stuff - I know my way around an engine, but at the moment I could use some advice as to what to do.

My bike is a 2003 Jordan model NRG, me and my dad knowing that it was 1 of 400 decided to make it a little bit special, so we tuned the arse off of it.

The problem I'm having is that my bike is running very rich, and has done from the start - because we didnt really set up the carbs so well. o_O When I start the bike in the morning it needs clearing out, and will smoke alot until I've hit it with enough throttle to clear it through. My bike sometimes bogs at low speeds, like when I follow busses up hils, it bogs and sits at low revs - so I have to pull over and full throttle it so it hits about 8k revs and then it will be ok again. Same thing happens when I slow right down and throttle off without stopping. Only does this sometimes, but it's annoying, and I know that my bike will perform better when it's running okay.

Checked the plug today, a B9ES - and it was black as night, and wet. I am running a 92 jet (from what I can remember)..

I think the plan is to; flush the carb out (dont think it needs stripping), jet it down to maybe a 90 - 85? I think those are the only ones I have o_O and then do some fine tuning on the carb, I have a dellorto 19mm incidentaly - which I'm not sure to tune, so help would be great :good: I have also today put a PM foam filter on it that I had lying around, sounds sweet as

Also - Sometimes a grey paste will ooze out of the idle screw.. kinda looks like the sliver copper slip you can get :confused:hock: never really bothered me to much as i doesnt cause a problem, I guess it's down to bad carb settings..

    Cheers!
